 [Faith's been bruised, beaten, dusty, and worst of all captured - she feels powerless, all her extra strength - even that little bit of extra oomph she had as a mere potential - drained from her in one fell swoop. 

She doesn't know what happened to Barbara; last Faith saw her, it was when she was drawing the soldiers awa from her charge - getting caught in her place.

Still... Having managed that much - giving Barbara a shot - puts a little extra confidence in her voice.]

I'm with you. I got myself brought into the labor section because I thought several of my friends might be brought here. Have you seen Zev? Claudia? Any of the others?

[He can't help but ask after Zev first, because she's had too much of this slavery crap already and...and...and well, he's not entirely rational when it comes to her.]

They are both more robust and more technologically advanced than humans. I suspect their primary weakness, besides the throat, testicles and knees, would likely be their arrogance. As I once did, they see themselves as our betters almost to a fault. We can use that. Certainly it is worth a try.

Look. I'll be blunt. Tactically this is all very dangerous, and some of us will likely have to sacrifice ourselves for the freedom of the others. I'm fine with that. I have faith this will get sorted regardless, and I'm willing to face another Death Toll.

Can handle dying, D; just not leaving them behind. [It's different. Being dead means deathtolling; they're safe, if in pain. it's different than being a slave.]

The guard shift change is every six hours. We are coming up on another one within an hour and a half. The end and the beginning of a shift are a guard's most vulnerable times.

How many can we expect to back us?
