She's already on her third Pan Galact Gargle Blaster - fully drunk and looking to get drunker as she pulls a final sip of the heady stuff up to her lips for another drought. One last burst of forced apathy, before she puts the glass down.]

[Drunk - this much drunk - is very much different than buzzed; it's different from her normal drunk too. It isn't relaxed, or teasing; it isn't even apathetic anymore; it's angry; it's enraged - at herself, at the Admiral, at whatever the hell gets in her way.

Drunk; angry; and capable of punching through most walls - it's probably a good thing she's found her way into the gym. Not that the punching bag can take much more of her. Not when each punch pushes it to the end of its chain.]

"Oh there's always been interest on a friends-with-benefits level. I just didn't want it coming with a side order of angst and clinginess. So I sorted myself out a bit first." Apparently he had been gone longer than he had admitted. He smiled and feinted toward her, then brought up his guard.

"You always talk this much when asking a girl out, D?" She lashed out, ignoring the guard; reckless, wanting to smash through it - smash through everything; she didn't care about how many hits she got. She just wanted impact.

Can we talk later? I don't- I know you mean well, but right now I can't bring myself to even try to believe what you're saying.

"You're not a girl, you're a woman. And all I'm offering for the moment is a soak, a drink and perhaps a good footrub. Afterward." He dodges the first few blows, and takes the third, stumbling back and wincing. "Please, Mistress, may I have another?"

Ask the Admiral. Bug and bug until she's back.

"That a fact?" she asked, throwing her next punch - aiming for the face again, and ready to follow through with a kick if that didn't connect to him.

I wasn't her warden!

Guess that's why the admiral decided I shouldn't be.

"Not the face, not the f--ow." There went his nose again. Oh well. He struck out at her in a half-feint and pressed his attack to keep from being crowded into a corner.

"Should have spoken up, D," she responded, doing her best to block - not giving up any ground she didn't have to. She'd strike the stomach next though.

Don't. Play. Martyr with me because it isn't going to work.

"Ha! I'm not really troubled by--oof!" He staggered a little, and then simply beckoned to her in a "bring it on" gesture. "Come on then, now you're getting into it."

Again she struck out, growling faintly as she got into the mood; she wasn't giving in.

Whatever you say;

He took it, even though her blows actually hurt. "Faith. Seriously. Spend five minutes pretending I'm an enemy instead of a friend. It will help, I promise." Then he braced himself.

She hit harder, aiming for the face, the stomach - leg flying to her side.

Are you even sorry they took her away?

"That's it, good. Keep it coming." He wasn't getting off on the whole thing; his manner instead was that of a boxing coach, ignoring the fact that he was the one acting as the punching bag. He healed nearly as fast as she hit him, and though he staggered under the blows sometimes he always came back for more.

She hit; one blow, another, kick lashing out. She wasn't prepared to stop here; wasn't prepared to let down. She was pissed and he was bringing it all out, towards the surface. Glaring hard.
