[Still learning how to use computers so he's not as efficient as he'd like to be, but he still finds a way to explore some of the other messages being broadcast. Faith's message in particular catches his attention.]

...Angel? [Just about everything a girl can without being Giles, honestly, but the question's being fogotten amidst... Angel?]

[Isn't surprised that she recognizes his name. Anyone who recognizes the Hellmouth has a good chance of recognizing who he is. It's the familiarity that catches him off guard.] That's me but who are you?

...Faith. You don't....? [...One guy in her entire life who ever believed in her - without either using, abandoning or cheating on her along the way - and he doesn't remember her.

[Shakes his head.] Sorry, I don't recognize the name. I get the feeling I should though. [Sorry, Faith :(]

Yeah; guess it's just one of those names.

I'm the slayer. [She knows she should specify B's still alive, but... maybe she's not entirely in the mood to think about her sister slayer right now.]

There are three slayers now? [That doesn't make any sense. Kendra became a Slayer because Buffy briefly died...he immediately tenses up.]

How did you become a slayer?

Heard the girl before me got her neck torn out. [Heard it was all your fault, too, but even with the sting she's not that vindictive.]

Kendra...who did it to her? Was it Spike? [Should have known those two would be at it again.]

I've already come across Buffy here. [Still getting used to seeing her several years older.]

Dru. I hear. [Damn; she's starting to feel a little... guilty. She hadn't realized he was that far back.]

[Looks away. She's not the only one feeling guilty. When it comes to Drusilla, he feels pangs of guilt for several reasons.]

I will be when I find her. [Frowns. To further highlight how far back he is, he's chilling in the Scooby library, using one of Willow's first research computers.]

How long have you been a slayer and how long have you been here?

Didn't keep track. [She hesitates. Because that's bull and she figures he knows it.] I was sixteen. Went to school with B for a year.

Been a few months, near as I can tell, since I got here.

Do you know how Drusilla survived? [Was convinced that she was dead for good but he should have known better. Gives everything else she is saying some serious thought.]

I've missed out on a lot.

Survived what? [People are always trying to kill her. The question isn't how she survived, but what she survived last. :| ]

...Yeah; guess you can say that.

Last time I saw her, Spike was trying to restore her sanity. He was stopped and I thought the two of them went up in flames.

Anything I should know?

B wasn't exactly keeping me in the loop back then. [And how do you tell a guy he's supposed to die but then come back anyway? ...Not that she isn't tempted to tell him anyway.]

What about since then? [It's Sunnydale, for all he knows World War III could have gone down.]

We kicked the First's ass. [Pretty much that, yeah, on a Sunnydale scale.]

[You would think after living for over 240 years, it would take a lot to surprise him, but Buffy and her friends always find a way to throw him for a loop. In this case, a massive loop.]

The First? [If he had any breath, he'd be drawing in a deep one to collect himself. Instead his fingers clutch the edge of the computer table. Reminds himself that Buffy is alive and well and not dead at the hands of the First.]

How is that even possible?

[She shrugs; the smile on her face, though? Maybe a tiny bit proud. It's nice to know she did some good now and again.] Blew up the hellmouth and sent its ass back where it belongs.
