Guess the admiral learn his lesson last time, huh? [This smile isn't at all fragile. What are you talking about? And this only her first or second tankard of alcohol. For the record.]

Open night at the pub tonight. Drinks on me. Guessing everyone could use some relaxation.

[Filtered to the batfamily.]

You got anything to say? Get it out now.

[She hesitates.] I could use some advice. 

[Private to Bruce.]

You up for a spar a or what?


[Spam for the bar, later that night]


[Faith will be flinging and serving drinks if anyone's interested. The door will be open, and she won't kick anyone out - excluding a few alcoholics.

When she's not serving alcohol, she can be found lounging behind a bar, drinking her own mug. Come one come all, now's your chance. Faith seems to be in a good mood.]

[He pushes back and then attacks.]

[She moves to block.

She's had some practice since coming on the barge, but her moves are more based on slayer-instinct than actual training. It's just a tad slow getting into position - something to take advantage of if he's fast enough.]

[He would be fast enough if it weren't for his reduced physical capabilities, so it's another deadlock. He steps back and circles, before coming in again from a different angle.]

[She moves faster, that time, working to deflect, and bring the staff up for a strike towards his side. She hasn't had much of a chance to glance at his file yet, but she did notice his strength had been reduced.]

Guessing this isn't what you're normally like, huh?

No. [This hit's hard, he parries as best he can but Faith can see she clearly outclasses him.]

How much you down by?

About a fifth.

[hungryanhorny]

Guess this isn't doing much for you, then.

[theonlyresponse]

[He shrugs.] It's practice.

[hungryanhorny]

Guess it's just me, then.

[theonlyresponse]

[In answer, he attacks again.]

[And in answer, she moves to parry. She's not going to hold back for this.]

[He won't win on brute strength, he's relying on his speed and precision for this. When she parries, he instantly moves back and tries again from a different angle, giving her as little time to adjust as possible.]

[She shifts, maybe a little slow - trying to get there in time. She doesn't intend to give him a hit if she can help it.]

[theonlyresponse]

[He takes the opening and lashes out, putting a little power behind this.]

[hungryanhorny]

[She grimaces, stepping back as she tries to trap his staff between her body and her own stick.]

[theonlyresponse]

[It gets stuck, but he lets go immediately, so that she has two sticks to contend with.]

[hungryanhorny]

[Yeah, no. She's just gonna toss both aside and get into a fighting position.]

[theonlyresponse]

[That's more like it. Unarmed, he can do. He goes for a nerve strike.]

[hungryanhorny]

[She twists, trying to duck out and lash at his rib. Bare firsts hit hard when they're coming from a slayer, but she isn't thinking about the potential for cracked legs.]

[theonlyresponse]

[He uses the opportunity to attempt a sweep.]

[hungryanhorny]

[She does her best not to fall, driving against him and ready to cartwheel if needed.]

[theonlyresponse]

[He uses her own momentum against her, and goes for a throw.]
